Fauna composition and development button
Aquatic Fauna Ships / 水族艦, shortened to just fauna in this article, are helpers for the Whaleship. They fight alongside the whaleship starting from Whaleship Chapter 2 (Main Part).
Unlocking[]
You need to unlock the fauna development option before you can use them. The only requirement for this is to clear Whaleship Chapter 2, Mission 4-2 and then watch the story that follows it. This mission marks then end of Whaleship Chapter 2 (Prologue) / クジラ艇 第2章(プロローグ). The missions after it are called Whaleship Chapter 2 (Main Part) / クジラ艇 第2章(本編).
Development[]
After unlocking the fauna development option, click on the composition & development / 編成&開発 button on the Whaleship main screen to get to the fauna composition screen. Select any fauna slot to go to the fauna selection screen. Available fauna are visible with the following texts overlaid on them.
- 開発済み / Developed
- 開発可能 / Able to develop
- 開発不可 / Can not develop
Select a fauna to see its properties. Spend the currency needed to develop it and you will be able to use it.
Impact[]
In stages where the whaleship can take fauna along, there are a few changes to battles.
- There can be multiple enemies the whaleship will need to fight at once.
- The fauna could be targeted by enemies instead of the whaleship.
- The fauna have their own skill and abilities. They bestow abilities to the whaleship.
- The whaleship can only act once per turn instead of twice.
Fauna[]
The stats of fauna are a percentage of the whaleship's stats. The whaleship's stats are in turn based on the stats and equipment of the flower knights it is composed of.
