Her skill name comes from the Kanji for Saboten (仙人掌) which can be read as "Palm Wizard" . This is also why she is a Blunt (blue) type instead of Pierce (yellow) type which would most likely come to mind when thinking of cacti.

Botanical Origin[]

サボテン / Cactus is nothing more than general word for plants from the Cactaceae family.^[1]^[2]

Cacti are poorly classified due to uncontrolled and not agreed upon naming of its species that happened many times in the past. Their unique characteristics make it difficult to dry and compress them, which is preventing preservation of the specimens that could allow easier identification. ^[2]

It is hard to tell what cacti are drawn behind the character. It appears to be mix of few species that the artist associated with the word "cactus".^[1]
